OBS Studio is one of the most popular streaming software choices on Twitch and other platforms. All features of Sound Alerts are fully compatible with OBS, and this tutorial will show you how to implement it successfully.
How do I implement Sound Alerts in OBS?

- Select "I use OBS Studio".
- Click "Use Copy & Paste Method".
- Select "Copy".

- Open OBS on your Desktop device.
- Click on the "+" symbol in the Sources section (usually in the bottom left).
- Select "Browser".
- Select "Create New" and name it "Sound Alerts".
- Paste the link you copied in step 4 into the URL section.
- Turn on "Control Audio via OBS" and press "OK".

- Go back to the Dashboard in your browser and click on the new "Play Test Alert" button.
- If you can see and hear your alert in OBS, you have completed the initial part of your Sound Alerts setup.
How do I control the Volume of Sound Alerts in OBS?
You can control the volume of your alerts via the sound controller on the right side of OBS. Please note that you must have selected "Control Audio via OBS" in the browser source creation process above to enable individual sound control for Sound Alerts. For advanced audio controls, please watch the video below.
Including your Sound Alerts Activity Feed in OBS
OBS allows you to add your Sound Alerts Activity Feed to the tool, which lets you track all the alerts directly within your OBS without needing an additional browser window. To do so, follow these steps:
- Copy this link https://dashboard.soundalerts.com/popout.
- Open "OBS" and select Docks in the header at the top.
- Select "Custom Browser Docks".
- Enter a name and the URL you copied earlier.
- Click "Apply" and login to the new window.
- You can place the window via drag-and-drop to implement it in OBS.

Implementing Sound Alerts in multiple OBS Scenes
You can enable/disable Sound Alerts in different OBS scenes if you only want to use them in your Just Chatting or gaming segments. You must complete the transfer to other scenes correctly to avoid echoing or sound-doubling issues with your alerts. This is how you do it:
- Right-click your Sound Alerts browser source in your main scene.
- Select "Copy"
- Select another scene you want to use with Sound Alerts.
- Right-click into the scene and select "Paste (Reference)" — this step is the most important one.
- You successfully created a copy of your Sound Alerts browser source.
