Mobile streaming is a great way to take your viewers on an adventure with IRL content or to stream when you do not have a PC set up nearby. Sound Alerts is fully compatible with various mobile streaming apps, and this guide will show you how to set it up.
Which Streaming Apps does Sound Alerts support?
Generally speaking, Sound Alerts works with every mobile streaming app that supports including a web or browser source (our signal that sends the alerts to your stream). This list includes but is not limited to:
- PRISM Live on iOS and Android
- Streamlabs Mobile on iOS and Android
- Larix Broadcaster on iOS and Android (depending your setup)
How do I set up Sound Alerts with the Streamlabs Mobile App?
- Visit the setup section of the Sound Alerts Dashboard.
- Select "I use something else" on the right side.
- Copy the browser source link and paste it somewhere you can access it on your mobile device (you will need this link later).
- Open the Streamlabs Mobile app on your phone and complete the initial setup and signup.
- Visit the settings and select "Editor".
- Choose "Layers" and select the "+" button.
- Select "Add a custom item" and paste in the URL you copied in the beginning.
- Select "Add".
- You can move the browser source via drag-and-drop now — this is where your alerts will appear.
- Now, visit the Sound Alerts Dashboard on a desktop device and set up your alerts via the My Alerts section.
- You can start mobile streaming with Sound Alerts now!
How do I set up Sound Alerts with the PRISM Live App?
We have a dedicated guide for the PRISM Live app in this Help Center. Here is a quick step-by-step instruction:
- Visit the setup section of the Sound Alerts Dashboard.
- Select "I use something else" on the right side.
- Copy the browser source link and paste it somewhere you can access it on your mobile device (you will need this link later).
- Open the PRISM Live App on your mobile device.
- Make sure you complete the app's initial setup process.
- In the main menu, swipe to the left and open the "My Studio" section.
- Select "Widget" and "Web" and paste the link we copied before into the text field.
- Select a name and press "Save" on the top right.
- To set up your alerts, visit your desktop device's "My Alerts" section and create alerts with custom sounds and animations. You can also test them via this page to see if they play out correctly before going live.
- Congratulations, you successfully connected Sound Alerts to your mobile stream.
