The Sound Alerts Library is one of the core elements of our service. It allows you to browse hundreds of thousands of sounds, video clips, and memes, which you can directly add to your stream alerts. In this guide, we will show you how to utilize all features of the Sound Alerts Library.

Library Overview

When you visit the Library, you can explore a carefully curated collection of the finest community media files. These are compatible with all your alert types, including Bits, Channel Points, Follower alerts, Sub-alerts, and more. Start by clicking the plus symbol on a Library item or add them to your favorites via the heart button to assemble a list of your stream favorites.

Our Library offers enhanced search and filtering options to help you find the right sound or video. Simply enter your search terms at the top left or use our filters in the left sidebar, and the preview will automatically display the best results for your settings.

Our Library allows you to upload your own media files if you want to use them for your alerts. Follow these steps to do so:

  1. Visit the Library in the Sound Alerts Dashboard
  2. Click "+ Create" in the top right.

  4. Follow the steps to edit and crop your files.
  5. Add a title, tag, and thumbnail to your file.

Clip Conversion in the Library

If you do not want to upload media files, you can also convert Twitch clips, YouTube videos, or TikTok videos and crop them directly via the Sound Alerts uploader. This allows you to transfer these videos into sound or video alerts with a few clicks. Start the process by clicking the "+ Create" button in the top right of the Library and pasting your link in the field at the bottom of the uploader.

Supported Formats & Best Practices

Sound Alerts supports the following formats:

  • For audio files: aac, mp3, opus, wav, weba, 3gp, 3g2
  • For video files: avi, mp4, ts, webm, mkv, 3gp, 3g2Clip Conversion in the Library

Keeping it "simple" is often the best choice here — we recommend mp3 or wav for audio and webm or mp4 for video! There is a maximum file size of 20MB for any uploaded file. Large files can cause loading problems. So, suppose you run into any issues with your alerts. In that case, keeping your audio and video files below 5MB is an excellent target to ensure they can be loaded appropriately every time without getting corrupted. When uploading a sound or video, you are limited to a maximum length of 5 minutes. To keep our Library safe, all uploads are scanned by our content moderation system and will be rejected if anything too naughty is detected. Keep it clean!

Adding a Library Entry to your Alerts

After you have finished searching for proper alert media, it is time to add the Library entries to your alerts. To do that, simply click on the "+" of an alert entry; this will lead you to the alert assign menu, which you can use to add the alert to your Extension, Channel Points, or any other alert type.
