The Notes Widget lets you display useful information directly on your stream, including text, images, emotes, lists, links, and other visual content. It is a flexible way to show announcements, reminders, stream information, commands, schedules, or anything else you want your viewers to see.

How to Add the Notes Widget

  1. Open the Sound Alerts Dashboard.
  2. Select Scenes from the left-hand menu.

  3. Open an existing Scene or create a new one.
  4. Inside the Scene Editor, click Add Widget.
  5. Find and select the Notes Widget.
  6. The widget will now appear inside your Scene.

Once added, you can move and resize the Notes Widget directly inside the Scene Editor.

Add Content to Your Notes Widget

Select the Notes Widget inside your Scene to start editing its content.

The widget can be used to display different types of information, such as:

  • Text and announcements
  • Images
  • Emotes
  • Lists
  • Stream rules
  • Social media information
  • Commands
  • Current goals or challenges
  • Schedules and reminders

This makes it useful for both permanent information and content that you want to update throughout your livestream.

Customize the Notes Widget

After selecting the widget, you can use its settings to adjust how it appears on your stream.

Depending on your setup, you can customize elements such as:

  • Position
  • Width and height
  • Colors
  • Fonts and text appearance
  • Background
  • Spacing and layout
  • Opacity

You can also reposition and resize the widget directly in the Scene Editor.

For more advanced customization, the Notes Widget supports Custom CSS, allowing you to further adjust its appearance to match your stream design.

Edit Notes With Chat Commands

The Notes Widget can also be updated through chat commands.

This allows you and your moderators to make changes during a livestream without having to return to the Scene Editor each time. 

Configure the available commands in the Notes Widget settings and use them directly in your Twitch chat whenever the displayed information needs to be changed.

Add the Scene to Your Streaming Software

Once your Notes Widget is ready:

  1. Save your changes in the Scene Editor.
  2. Click Copy Source URL for your Scene.

  3. Open your preferred streaming software, such as OBS or Streamlabs Desktop.
  4. Add a new Browser Source.

  5. Paste the Scene Source URL.
  6. Adjust the browser source to fit your stream layout.

Your Notes Widget will now be displayed whenever the Scene browser source is visible. The Sound Alerts Scene Editor is compatible with common streaming tools using a browser source.
