Letting your viewers share Twitch and YouTube clips in your stream can be an excellent tool for interacting with your audience. This guide will show you how to enhance our Video Share alerts with the Video Share widget in the Scene Editor to enable additional customization options.
What is the Video Share Widget?
You may know our Video Share alerts from your alert settings — these alerts let your viewers activate video clips from different platforms like YouTube or Twitch in your stream overlay. The Video Share widget presented here enables you to enhance these alerts with additional styling options for the overlay via our Scene Editor.
Please note that you need to add a Video Share alert via the My Alerts settings before this overlay works as intended.
Adding the Video Share Alert Widget
Here are the steps to follow to add the Video Share widget to your stream:
- Visit the Sound Alerts Scene Editor.
- Click "+ Add new Scene" in the top right or select one of your existing scenes.
- Select "Add Widget +" in the top left and click on "+Add" for the "Video Share".

- Use the settings on the left side to adjust the style of your Video Share alerts and adjust the size/position of the Video Share feed via drag and drop.
- After that, select "Save" in the top right and enter a name for your scene.
- Now click "Copy Source URL" in the top right. You can add this browser source URL to OBS, Streamlabs Desktop, or other tools by adding it to your source list as a "Browser" or "Web" source and pasting the link.
- Your Video Share overlay will now display on your stream as long as the browser source is visible.

Customizing the Video Share Alert Widget
The customization settings of the Video Share alert widget include the following options on the left side of your Scene Editor:
- Position settings: Select the exact position of the alerts in your stream.
- Opacity settings: Adjust the opacity of your overlay.
- Display settings: Choose whether you want to show the number of videos in the queue, video titles, and other text elements.
- Styling settings: Change the font, font size, background color, or corner styling.
