Twitch Affiliates and Partners can earn money with Sound Alerts by activating Bits alerts in the Sound Alerts Twitch Extension. This guide explains all the payment and payout process details when you receive Bits via Sound Alerts.
Sound Alerts with Bits Revenue
When viewers perform and confirm an action requiring Bits within the Extension, streamers earn 80% of 1 U.S. Cent per Bit used. This means when a viewer uses 100 Bits to play an alert, you will get 80 U.S. Cents. Please note that this feature is only available to streamers with the Twitch Affiliate or Partner status.
Sound Alerts with Bits Payout
Your Sound Alerts Bits payout is always a part of your standard Twitch earnings, which you receive from Twitch. Affiliates and Partners are eligible for payout once their pre-taxed accrued revenue balance reaches $100. If you do not make over $100 in a given month, Twitch will roll over the balance to the next month until you reach this minimum threshold.
Bits earned via Sound Alerts are not included in your Twitch channel analytics immediately — it usually takes up to 48 hours for them to appear under the "Extension" category. Third-party platforms like Streamlabs or Streamelements can not track your Sound Alerts Bits revenue since Twitch handles the payments. If you want to track your Bits payments, visit your Twitch Creator Dashboard and head to the analytics.
