Blocking or banning users from using the Sound Alerts Extension and Channel Points is a simple process that ensures a more controlled and positive experience on your channel. This guide will walk you through the steps to block/ban users, remove them from the leaderboard, and stop them from using Sound Alerts on your channel.

Blocking and Banning Users in your General Settings

If you wish to ban or block an individual account from using your Sound Alerts, head to your Dashboard settings. On the right side of the page, you will find the dedicated setting allowing you to add Twitch usernames to the list.

Adding users here will make them disappear from your leaderboard and prevent them from using your Twitch Extension or Tipping Page. Additionally, the Channel Points value of the alert a banned user tries to activate will automatically be refunded to avoid the alert playout. Please note that this ban does not prevent users from accessing your Twitch chat. To do so, you must ban them using the /ban command in your chat.
