Floating Chat Widget Guide
Use the Floating Chat Widget to display live chat messages directly in your stream scene — a handy way to keep conversation visible to both you and your viewers, without switching windows.
How to Add the Floating Chat Widget
In your Sound Alerts dashboard, go to Scenes.
Choose an existing scene or click Add new Scene to start fresh.
Inside the Scene Editor, click Add Widget + at the top-left.
Under the LIVE category, find Floating Chat Box and click + Add.
The widget is added to your scene. On the left panel you'll now see:
Customisable settings (position, size, font, colour, etc)
A button to Emulate Chat Message so you can preview how it looks to viewers
Option for Custom CSS if you want advanced styling
Adjust the settings to suit your stream layout. Once you're happy, save the scene and launch it. The widget will now display live chat messages during your broadcast.

🛠️ Tips & Best Practices
Positioning: Place the widget where it won’t obscure gameplay, webcam, or other alerts.
Font and colour contrast: Ensure chat text remains readable on any background.
Emulate regularly: Preview messages to fine-tune your chat display before going live.
Custom CSS: Advanced users can apply custom animations and effects.
Performance check: If you notice stuttering or high CPU usage, simplify widget styling.
